It is a crushing distortion, with a three-band EQ, volume, and gain control to tighten as tight as possible. Originally intended for metal, but it can be used for almost any style. It's a matter of giving it a try, it won't stop (pleasantly) surprising you. If you need a monster in your pedalboard, with gain to spare and a lot, but a lot of power ... this is what you are looking for!
