Estimated Shipping Widget will be displayed here!
The Forte Port X starts with the Michael Kelly Port Technology. This fine-tuned combination of bracing and an offset soundhole placement works great with this all quilt maple body. Available in two distinctive colors. Easily amplify your Port X thanks to the included active Fishman electronics and the under saddle bridge pickup captures the full and natural sound of the Forte Port X.
Integrated Fishman electronics
The Forte Port X is equipped with a Fishman Sonitone Active System electronics. The under saddle bridge captures the full and natural sound of this great instrument. You can control the volume and adjust the tone with two onboard controls, located in the soundhole. Discrete, but very easy to use and all without any holes cut into the side of the instrument.
Offset soundhole and special bracing
Our innovative offset soundhole and special bracing design creates a potent, uninterrupted soundboard between the neck and bridge for better tone and increased resonance. Traditional soundhole placement interrupts a potentially potent 'soundboard' area located between the neck and the bridge on a guitar. By relocating the soundhole, we were able to bring this area to life, providing a louder and more resonate overall top performance. This performance enhancement is especially evident on models with integrated electronics where the added resonance collaborates with the bridge mounted piezo for undeniably better results.
Zero-pin bridge
It always happens at the worst possible time - you break a string at a gig. What if you could radically shorten the time it takes to change your string? The Michael Kelly Zero Pin Bridge makes that possible. Our innovative Zero Pin Bridge allows players to change a string without tools and without the stress of losing or breaking pins. A quick slide into the specially-designed groove makes the inevitable string change as quick and easy as possible!
Quilt Maple cutaway body and headstock
With beautiful Quilt Maple top, back, sides, and headstock, the Michael Kelly Forte Port X Acoustic looks and sounds much more expensive than it is. The extreme cutaway body shape provides enhanced access to upper frets and great balance.
Side soundhole
The innovative side soundhole adds air movement and a great new tone for the player.
12th fret inlay
The Forte Celtic Knot 12th fret custom inlay is boldly designed and crafted with a blend of abalone and pearl. Mini dots adorn the rest of the fretboard.
